Green Opportunity Program: Life Cycle Approach
Tuesday, June 15, 7:00-8:30 pm at the La Grange Public Library.
Behind every product you purchase, there exists a life cycle. The life cycle begins with raw materials and energy needed to manufacture, transport and use the product, and later to recycle, reuse, or dispose of the product. A life cycle approach means we recognize how our choices influence what happens at each of these points so we can balance trade-offs and positively impact the economy, the environment, and society.   La Grange architect Cheryl Ciecko will discuss the Life Cycle Assessment of products, Green Building Rating Systems (LEED and others) and issues regarding wood and forestry.
